Unique Sneaker Shops in Barcelona

Find the best sneaker shops in Barcelona

Barcelona is an extremely multicultural and cosmopolitan city. You can tell this without even taking your eyes away from the floor, and just looking at the shoes people are wearing, from British tourists wearing their quintessential white trainers, to local kids wearing all sorts of flamboyant sneakers, as well as the businessmen and women walking around L’Eixample in their smart, fashionable footwear.

In a bid to understand this culture, we sent the Barcelona experts over at Oh-Barcelona to visit four of the most unique sneaker shops in Barcelona to see what they had to offer, and what the workers there thought of the sneaker culture in Barcelona, Spain, and in some cases even the rest of the world!

I chose these 4 sneaker stores, keen to make sure that each one would be a little different, but all similar in that they offered a unique look at the sneaker culture in Barcelona. No surprise then that my trip took me to 2 of the most hip areas in Barcelona, the fashionable Born, and the melting pot of the Raval.

24 Kilates

24 Kilates - Sneaker shop This sneaker shop is located in a nice little street near to Parc de la Ciutadella impressed me from the start. It looks modern with its dark colours, and comes across as quite funky with some American rap music on the speakers. The guy working there was welcoming, and quick to help with any query I had. As for their range of sneakers – it was what I’d expected. Hardly any real mainstream shoes, with some cool sneakers from the likes of Nike and Vans. They also had a range of American style New Era baseball hats, and some Lacoste and K Way jackets, as well as a lot of t shirts, some of which were their own brand.

Casa Munich

Casa Munich - Sneaker shop in BarcelonaLocated just around the corner from 24 Kilates, this is a smaller sneaker shop that only sells its own brand. For me personally, it was a little impersonal, and I had to wait a couple of minutes before the staff member turned up. Despite this, the shop itself was nice and simple, and offered a range of good quality, unique sneakers (even if they were a bit pricey, starting from around 100 Euros). Worth going to just to see the quality of their product, and I got the feeling that they had a loyal customer base.

Trust Nobody

Trust Nobody - Sneaker shop BarcelonaThis sneaker shop is just of Las Ramblas, Barcelona’s main tourist street, but it seems like you are a world away once you take a few steps down into the Raval and find this shop. It was quite similar to 24 Kilates, with the darker colours, American rap music, and availability of New Era baseball hats. For sneaker lovers, it is heaven. Two floors offering plenty of unique shoes which seemed to mainly Nike sneakers. They also had a large selection of skateboards, and you could tell that the shop must appeal to the local boardies.

BOB – Sneaker Deal

FBOB - Sneaker shop in Barcelonaor sneakers and sneakers only, this was probably my favourite shop. Firstly the location, in one of the most hip areas of the Raval is enough of a reason to stop by. Second, the service is everything you would expect from a small personal store like this. The guy was willing to take you around and give you a guide of each section. Their new range of Puma sneakers was particularly impressive, as well as other classic types of sports shoe. On sneaker culture in Barcelona, the guy was very interesting and knowledgeable. He talked to me about how people in Spain don’t really care about the shoes they wear, and mostly just want to be a bit more individual than in countries such as the UK and the USA, where everything is mainstream.
